Dressing for Cold Weather
Please send students to school with appropriate cold-weather clothing during winter weather conditions. The school monitors air temperature and wind chill levels closely and only allows outdoor activities when conditions are safe.
Students should wear:
- A warm winter coat
- Gloves or mittens
- A winter hat
- Boots and snow pants when snow is on the ground
Review winter weather clothing recommendations from weather.gov (opens in new tab).
Families needing assistance purchasing winter clothing or gear should contact the appropriate guidance counselor for support.
Reminders
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is located near the gym. Students should check the area regularly for missing items. Unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity at the end of January.
Grades 4–8 Conservatory Instruments
Students should bring their conservatory instruments to school on music class days and take them home on non-class days for practice.
Safety Reminder
Students and families should use the bridge or designated crosswalk when traveling between Pierce Park and the school.
