AfterHours U (AHU)
AfterHours U, operated by Steps to Success, meets at Pierce School on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 2:40–5:10 p.m.
AHU is an after-school program for students in grades 4 and 5 that combines homework support, recess time, and enrichment activities. Enrichment activities vary by session.
The program does not run on early dismissal days or during school vacations.
Eligibility: Steps to Success is a program designed for students from low-income families, with priority enrollment given to students living in Brookline Housing Authority units.

Girls on the Run (GOTR)
Girls on the Run is a program for students in grades 3–5 that encourages girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident through a fun, experience-based curriculum that integrates running.
Throughout the program, participants build confidence, strengthen character, develop healthy relationships, and learn skills that support physical, emotional, and social well-being.
The fall season runs from September through late November and concludes with a statewide 5K event in early November.
The spring season runs from March through June and concludes with a statewide 5K event in early June.
The program meets twice per week for 10 weeks immediately after school at Pierce School and is led by teacher coaches.
